The Confidant

The Confidant is a Hong Kong television Play Celebrities Michelle Yim as Empress Dowager Cixi, Wayne Lai as eunuch Li Lianying, along with Maggie Shiu as Empress Dowager Ci'an, Also produced under producer Marco Law by TVB. The drama depicts a number of eunuchs survive from the weakening Qing empire, also traces Li's early life by the day he entered into the royal palace. The drama follows Li's relationship with Cixi, and how he becomes her confidant. Filming started on 16 December 2011 also finished on 9 April 2012. The Confident Eunuch triggered the first two episodes on 1 November 2012 at The Grand Cinema at Tsim Sha Tsui. It's received positive reviews from audiences and critics thus far. With a total of 33 episodes that were produced, The Confidant started its broadcast on Hong Kong's Jade and H D Jade channels on 5 November 2012.
