Robot Wars
Robot Wars has been a game show modelled on a contest of the same name. This had been broadcast on BBC Two from 1998 with its final show broadcast on Channel 5 in 2004 and 2003. Additional string were filmed for specific sectors of the international market, including two set of Robot Wars Extreme Warriors using U.S. competitions for its TNN system, also 2 of Dutch Robot Wars for distribution in the Netherlands. This United Kingdom Robot Wars' show hosted by Joanie Laurer, also has been attracted to the United States about TNN as Robot Wars: Grand Champions in 2002. The roboteers themselves formed The Fighting Robot Association and with their associated event organisers, carry on participating in competitions for new audiences.
The show included teams of professional and amateur roboteers that left their robots to fight each other in the friendly and championship matches. As well as fighting each other, they had to avoid that the"House Robots", that weren't bound by exactly the same weight or weapon constraints as the contestants. Robot Wars has been powerful in its merchandising, also had summit viewers of 4 million.
