Nighty Night
Nighty Night is just actually a British dark comedy sitcom written by and starring Julia Davis. It was broadcast on 6 January 2004 on BBC Three before proceeding to BBC2.
Notorious because of its humour, the series follows sociopath Jill Tyrell -- who oversees a beauty parlour along with her asthmatic assistant Linda -- since she sees that her husband has cancer. She's this fact to control neighbour Cathy Cole, a wheelchair user with multiple sclerosis whose husband a doctor, Don , Jill has been obsessed with.
The theme tune used at first of both series and during the closing credits to the first is the excerpt from the spaghetti western My Name Is no one, composed by the Italian film composer Ennio Morricone.
In June 2006 it had been announced that Sex and the City creator Darren Star would write and be executive producer. Founders of the production company Baby Cow, steve Coogan and Henry Normal, must be co-Executive-Producers.
