Ground Defense Force! Mao-chan

Ground Defense Force! Mao-chan Called Earth Defender! Mao-chan, is actually a comedy anime, created by Ken Akamatsu. It stars three eight-year-old girls, Misora, Mao and Sylvia, as they make an effort to shield the ground against invading aliens. The planet's defense has fallen to improbable straits as the aliens are too cute, which combat claws are : if the forces battling the aliens were not cute themselves, the average man or woman would revolt, because it could be seen as"bullying". Hence, three military leaders chose their own grand daughters to be the defenders learning to be a team cuter than aliens. They each have a badge that allows them to transform. The show has been rife with references and parodies , specially to Akamatsu's earlier work Love Hina. Girls' officer bears a similarity.
