Cartoon Alley is a American television program that aired on Turner Classic Movies every Saturday Morning at 11:30 AM ET.
Founded by Ben Mankiewicz, the series featured three classic shorts. Most shorts were from American animation's Golden Age. The three shorts Each focused on a theme. Most shorts came in Warner Bros., MGM, and Paramount, but through the series's first season Cartoon Alley showcased shorts from the Gaumont Film Company. Many characters have been featured in a minumum of one incident such as Bugs Bunny, Popeye, Porky Pig, Tom and Jerry, along with others such as for example Goopy Geer along with The Captain and the kiddies. The shorts often appeared uncensored and uncut, and also Mankiewicz concerning the stereotypes being portrayed usually introduced with a warning the controversial animations.
