Ren Mihashi has been the genius of his school's baseball team, but they might never win. Losses that are constant also reached the point at which his teammates tried to win, inducing Mihashi to grad using little self esteem eventually contribute . Consequently, at which he has no intention of playing baseball, Mihashi makes the decision to go to a high school in a prefecture. Unfortunately, in Nishiura High upon his birth, he is hauled in to joining their team since the starting pitcher. Although reluctant in the beginning, Mihashi understands that this is a place where he will soon undoubtedly be accepted for who he is. With help from the catcher Takaya Abe, he starts to have more confidence in their own abilities. Abe, seeing that the possibility in Mihashi, makes it a goal to help him become a pitcher worthy of being called a professional.
