Anne Frank: The Whole Story

Anne Frank: The Whole Story is Really a two-part Mini Series based on the book Anne Frank: The Biography by Melissa Müller. The mini series aired on ABC. The show starred Ben Kingsley, Brenda Blethyn, Hannah Taylor-Gordon, and Lili Taylor. Controversially, in maintaining the claim made by Melissa Müller but, the show asserts when the identity of that the betrayer has been established that the betrayer of the Frank family was the office cleaner. A disagreement between the manufacturers of this mini series and the Anne Frank Foundation regarding validity with this and other details caused the withdrawal of their endorsement of the dramatization, which averted the use of almost any quotes from the writings of Anne Frank arising within the production. Although Ben Kingsley won a Screen Actor's Guild Award for his performance as Otto Frank hannah Taylor-Gordon received both Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations for her performance as Anne Frank.
