Our body, which contains our most primal instincts, is the means by which we see the physical world. Since David and Venus, we have set the human body on the highest pedestal, establishing and sustaining an unreachable beauty standard. It's where we feel pleasure and love, judge and destroy, bleed and smile. Our natural shape has been sexualized, vilified, and occasionally shamed into taboo via this warped lens of beauty. Why is it offensive to see a naked body? Has it political overtones? Are we not more than what we appear to be?
