Beauty and the Bastard

A contemporary film made in Finland about two young adults who couldn't be more dissimilar but, after a fortuitous encounter, wind up making music together and falling in love. Despite the fact that Nelli's parents had the ideal job and partner in mind for her, she has always had a passion for singing. She asks the young and grungy hip hop music artist Sunen, who she happened to meet by chance at the studio, to assist her in creating a demo tape. Sunen was a complete coincidence. Not only is the narrative that follows, which is about how people with differences may grow closer to one another despite the challenges they face, but it is also told very well. In addition to that, the music is of really high quality. It almost seems impossible to believe that this is the director's debut feature film.
