Ain't in It for My Health: A Film About Levon Helm

This somber, personal portrayal of music great Levon Helm begins with an image of a tour bus warming its engine in the silence of an empty lot and conjures the mood of a lifetime spent on the road. Jacob Hatley's unusually intimate documentary follows Helm, a founding member of The Band, as he works on his first studio album in 25 years at home in Woodstock. He's the ultimate survivor, having conquered drugs, bankruptcy, The Band's painful separation, and throat cancer - yet, as the title implies, he wasn't in it for his health.
