Behind the glorious Taj Mahal lies a bunch of gloomy homes where Chanda (35), a national help, lives with her 14-year-old daughter Appu. Chanda fantasies that her kid will study and adopt a better fate and aspires. When Appu informs her she really wants to stop school and eventually become a maid like her, Chanda has a decision: she'll himself move back to school, as well as join her daughter's class.
